Action plan about local post primary schools - Coleraine College, Dunluce School and North Coast Integrated College

Dear Parents/Guardians 

Below find below information from the Education Authority on an action plan about post primary schools in our local area. This is in relation to Coleraine College, Dunluce School and North Coast Integrated College. The consolation period regarding the action plan closes on 15th November 2021.

Providing Pathways, Strategic Area Plan, Action Plan for Primary, Post-Primary and Special Schools - April 2019-March 2021 (extended to 2022) 

The Education Authority is currently engaged in the process of area planning and published an Annual Action Plan in April 2019. Within this Action Plan, Coleraine College, Dunluce School and North Coast Integrated College were identified as below: 

"School managing authorities to develop options for future provision at Coleraine College, Dunluce School and North Coast Integrated College by March 2020". 

The Education Authority is commencing pre-publication consultation on the establishment of a new co-educational, 11-18, non-selective controlled integrated post-primary school for 1,200 pupils. This pre-publication consultation will close on 15 November 2021. During this period, the Education Authority will consult with staff, governors, parents/guardians and pupils of recent feeder primary schools of Coleraine College, Dunluce School and North Coast Integrated College. 

The Education Authority, in accordance with Article 14 of the Education and Libraries (Northern Ireland) Order 1986, has arranged virtual pre-publication consultation sessions to be held on 27 September 2021 at 7.00 pm to consult on the future of education provision in the area.
