Entrance to the Nursery Unit

03 December 2020

Dear Nursery parents / carers,

As you are aware the Nursery pupils have been entering the Nursery Unit via the Nursery garden since the start of term. This was a temporary measure to ensure that we had the maximum amount of space to allow for social distancing for parents at pick up and collection times. As we are now moving into the Winter season we will now change the location of the Nursery drop off and collection location. We are aware that the garden area and garden path may not be as suitable coming into the Winter season.

From tomorrow (Friday 4th December) parents should drop pupils off at the main Nursery front door. Pupils will be greeted by Mrs Thompson (our Nursery assistant) who will be standing at the entrance porch. In keeping with the rest of the school and with the guidance from the Education Authority parents will not be permitted into the Nursery building or Nursery porch area.

We would encourage our Nursery parents and carers to maintain the advised social distancing from other adults. Parents should enter via the Nursery black gates and drop their child off at the front door and then turn left and exit school via the path.

Any parent who wishes to enter the school building to speak to a member of staff should book an appointment by contacting the office in advance. Parents who come into the school building must fill in a COVID track and trace form and wear a face covering (unless they are exempt) when attending a prearranged appointment.

We would encourage our parents to continue to not congregate outside the school building and should maintain the advised social distancing measurement away from other parents or adults. Thank you for your continued support.

Yours faithfully,

Mrs Taylor
