Free School Meals Entitlement 2020/21
Dear parents and carers,
We would urge all families who think they may be eligible for free school meals to apply online now, if they have not already applied. We are aware that some families who are eligible for free school meals have not yet applied. Our overall percentage of free school meals has dropped significantly this academic year. Often additional funding will be supplied to schools based on our percentage of free school meals. Basically, the greater the percentage of free school meals a school has the higher the level of funding is available for schools.
Families who think they are eligible for free school meals should apply as soon as possible. Families can then choose whether they want to avail of the free school meals service or provide a lunch for their child.
