Halloween Happenings and fabulous firework displays are set to bring added sparkle to Causeway Coast and Glens this week


There’s four free events taking place in Ballymoney Showgrounds (Wednesday 27th October), Roe Mill Playing Fields Limavady (Thursday 28th October), Rugby Avenue Playing Fields Coleraine (Friday 29th October) and Ballycastle Seafront (Saturday 30th October) with a range of measures to help keep people as safe as possible from COVID-19.

Gates will open at 7pm, with activity starting at 7.30pm, concluding with a fireworks display at 8.30pm.

Mitigations in place to protect public health include: 

• Restricted numbers at each event to facilitate social distancing. 

• A reduced event duration (one hour plus fireworks display). 

• Enhanced cleansing and sanitisation. 

• Covid-safe programming and entertainment. 

• No food traders, concessions, or amusement providers.

🎃Ballymoney: There is limited disabled parking at North Road which is bookable prior to the event by calling 02870823333. Public parking is available at Townhead Street carpark, Dalriada School and on street parking on a first come first serve basis. Anyone using the disabled parking facility will not be able to move until the crowd has dispersed.

🎃Limavady: Parking restrictions will be in place on the approach roads to each venue. There is limited disabled parking at Roemill Road Recreation Grounds which is bookable prior to the event by calling 02870823333. Anyone using the disabled parking facility will not be able to move until crowd has dispersed. Parking restrictions will be in place on the approach roads to the venue.

🎃Coleraine: A FREE park & ride service will be operating from town centre to Rugby Avenue. Pick up/set down points will be The Mall Car Park Bust Stop, Railway Road Bus Stop (outside Leisure Centre) and Strand Road Bus Stop (opposite Petrol Station) with drop off at the entrance to the event. The park & ride service will be running from 6.30pm until 9.45pm. There is limited disabled parking at Rugby Avenue playing fields which is bookable prior to the event by calling 02870823333. Anyone using the disabled parking will not be able to move until the crowd has dispersed.

🎃Ballycastle: There is limited disabled parking at the Ferry Terminal Car park which is bookable prior to the event by calling 02870823333. Public parking is available at Harbour Car park, Ballycastle Golf Club, Sheskburn Recreation Centre and Quay Road Playing Fields. Anyone using the disabled parking will not be able to leave until the crowd has dispersed.
