12th November 2020
Dear parents/guardians,
I wish to inform you that a member of Stepping Stones after-school community has tested positive for Covid-19.
I have been in contact with the Education Authority and sought the most up-to-date advice from the Public Health Agency (PHA).
Only pupils who attended Stepping Stones afterschool unit on Monday 9th November or Tuesday 10th November have been identified as a close contact. The small number of pupils have already been notified by Stepping Stones after-school provider and will now be required to self-isolate at home.
If your child has not been identified as a close contact they do not need to make any change to their usual routine and your child should attend school as normal.
I do appreciate the concerns of everyone within the wider school community and wish to reassure you that every precaution is being taken.
I must also inform parents that Stepping Stones afterschool unit is now closed and a deep clean of the area is now being undertaken. Stepping Stones will reopen on Wednesday 25th November 2020.
Ensuring the safety of pupils and staff is my absolute priority and I will continue to monitor the situation carefully and keep you informed.
Parents with any questions or concerns are welcome to contact me on the school telephone number or email [email protected] .
Yours faithfully,
Mrs K Taylor
Principal
