MUSIC PROVISION 2020 - 2021
The peripatetic music teachers are back in school and have commenced music lessons with pupils who played an instrument last year.
Over the incoming weeks the music teachers will also be carrying out simple ‘tests’ to determine children’s suitability for various instruments. Should places become available children will be offered the opportunity of peripatetic teaching based on their performance in the tests. Our peripatetic music teachers for the 2020 – 2021 year are:

- Mr A McCubbin - Strings
Music costs for the hire of instruments and tuition will be applied at Board approved rates. The specific cost for tuition will be notified to you when testing has taken place and available places allocated. Over the last number of years tuition fees, which include weekly lessons, have been approximately £190 for the school year, hopefully this will be reduced this year as music lessons have started later than usual due to COVID. This sum can be paid as a single payment or spread over a number of months, this does not include the hire of equipment which is normally between £35 - £50 per year. Only those children who are willing to accept the place, if offered, should put themselves forward for testing.
