P7 parent meetings about post-primary transfer, P7 parent Zoom meeting and P7 hoodies

22 February 2021

Dear parent/carers of P7 pupils,

Application procedure for applying to post primary school

The application procedure for P7 children transferring to post primary school in September 2021 has moved online. You can apply online via the EA website between 12.00 noon on Monday 1st March 2021 and 4 pm on Tuesday 16th March 2021. Visit the links below to view the admissions criteria for all post primary schools on the EA website as well as a video and general guidance on the transfer procedure.

All post primary schools now have their criteria online so I would encourage all P7 parents to search for schools they are considering. Criteria for all schools can be found on the EA website by clicking here.

A guide for parents is also available by clicking here.

Please note that this is not a first come first served basis and post-primary schools will only begin to make decisions on applications after the closing date for applications has passed. I would highly recommend that you do not attempt to complete the online form on Monday 1st March when the online procedure opens as the online portal normal crashes with the high volume of people looking to access the same site. From experience I would leave it a couple of days and then apply. You have up to Tuesday 16th March at 4pm to apply for a post-primary place for your child.

P7 Hoodies

We are offering our Primary 7 children the opportunity to purchase a ‘Leavers’ Hoodie’. Hopefully these will be ready after Easter and it will be something the children will enjoy wearing in the last term of school.

The front of the sweatshirt will have the school logo and the child’s initials with the back having all of the children’s Christian names printed inside the ‘20’. They will be royal blue in colour and will match in with our school colours.

The hoodie will cost £20 for a children’s size (9-11 years old, 12-13 years old) and £21 for an adult size.

If you wish to order a hoodie, please complete the order form below and return it to school, with the money, before Friday 26th February, 2020.

Sweatshirts are available in a variety of sizes:

  • 9 – 11 years
  • 12 – 13 years
