PE uniform - reminder that from Friday 1st October pupils should wear plain navy tracksuit bottoms

27 October 2021

Dear parents/carers,

Just a reminder that on PE days or on a day that your child has a sport afterschool club pupils should come to school wearing their school jumper, blue polo shirt and they should wear plain navy tracksuit bottoms and trainers. For the month of September, we allowed pupils to wear either navy, black or grey tracksuit bottoms for PE days. As already communicated to parents that from Friday 1st October we would request that all pupils wear plain navy tracksuit bottoms (with no marks, lines or logos on them) for PE days so that we can make this the formal PE uniform for Portstewart Primary School. Plain navy tracksuit bottoms are preferred rather than navy leggings. It is anticipated that as the colder weather returns that the majority of pupils will wear navy tracksuit bottoms for PE rather than navy shorts.

We received very positive feedback from both pupils and parents last year that wearing the PE uniform to school worked very well and meant that children did not need to change in school to participate in Physical Education lessons.

Many thanks,

Mrs K Taylor
