Speech and Drama at Portstewart Music Festival
The syllabus for the Speech and Drama Section of Portstewart Music festival has arrived in school and we are inviting children to enter. In general terms children are entered for classes according to their age. These classes are usually open to both sexes but for children in Key Stage 2 some of the classes may be confined to either boys or girls.
Entry fees are priced at £3.00 for each class/poem entered and must be received in school by Monday 20th January, 2020. The Speech and Drama section of the Musical Festival commences on Monday 23rd March. When the fees have been paid your child will receive a copy of the appropriate poem. Late entries will not be accepted.
Please remember that while teachers will provide help for children on how to recite a poem it is important that parents oversee the actual learning of the pieces.
Details of the actual dates and times of the various classes will be passed onto you when the organisers have informed the school. Your assistance in providing supervision and transport to and from the Town Hall will be much appreciated at the time of the festival.
