Our School Library
We have more than 6500 books, both fiction and non-fiction in our school library. We also have access to over 1000 online books through myON. Each class is allocated library time during the week for children to choose and read books, take online AR quizzes and research information for class topics. From P3-P7, children are responsible for issuing and returning books as well as keeping the library tidy. They take it in turns to be class librarians. Mrs Anderson is the Librarian.
What is Accelerated Reader (AR)?
AR is a computer program that helps teachers manage and monitor children’s independent reading practice. The child picks a book at his own level and reads it at his own pace. When finished, the child takes a short quiz on the computer.
