We as a school are currently focusing on pupils mental health and wellbeing as they return to school. All our pupils have been engaging with elements of our ‘Reach Out’ programme as well as our PDMU lessons. Our ‘Reach Out’ programme focuses on encouraging pupils to express their feelings, make choices and solve problems.

All our teaching staff and classroom assistants have all received training from Action Mental Health in late August on supporting pupils mental health and wellbeing.

Action Mental Health will be delivering a tailored programme with our senior pupils in P5-P7 entitled ‘Healthy Me’. It will focus on exploring pupils emotions and making healthy lifestyle choices. More details will follow soon!

Another exciting announcement is that we are planning to hold an online training session for our P5-P7 parents on supporting your child’s mental health and wellbeing. More details will follow soon...but keep Thursday 1st October at 7.30pm free!
