Please find below the details of which day your child/children will be having PE lessons:
𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘆 - Outdoor play/physical movement activities each day (wearing their normal Nursery uniform)
𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟭 - PE on Mondays and Thursdays (starting on Monday 6th September)
𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮 - PE on Mondays and Wednesdays (starting on Monday 6th September)
𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟯/𝟰 - PE on Tuesdays and Thursdays (starting on Tuesday 7th September)

𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟕 (𝐌𝐫𝐬 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧'𝐬) - PE on Wednesdays and Fridays (starting on Wednesday 8th September) - please note that swimming will be after Christmas and will take place on a Wednesday.
We are pleased to announce that pupils in P5 - P7 will benefit from specialised 𝗜𝗙𝗔 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 each Friday during the school day and this will start on Friday 18th September and run through to February 2022. Please note that this is not a football only programme and the Key Stage 2 IFA sports programme will cover lots of transferable skills such as balance, catching, games & movement skills.
Pupils in P5 - P7 will also benefit from attending 𝘀𝘄𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 this academic year. We are very excited that pupils will be able to engage in swimming lessons again. Pupils in P5 (Mr Kennedy's) and P6B (Mrs Baillie's) will go swimming each Wednesday and more details will follow very soon. Pupils in P6/7 (Miss McAfee's) and P7 (Mrs Rankin's) will go swimming after Christmas.
On days that your child has PE lessons pupils should come to school wearing their school jumper, school polo shirt and a plain navy, black or grey tracksuit bottoms and trainers. This is so pupils will not need to get changed for PE in school. On the days that pupils are not participating in PE it is expected that pupils will wear full school uniform with black school shoes. Pupils in our Nursery Unit should wear their normal Nursery uniform each day which is appropriate for outdoor play and physical movement.
For the month of September pupils can wear either navy, black or grey tracksuit bottoms for PE days. From 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 we would request that all pupils wear plain navy tracksuit bottoms for PE days so that we can make this the formal PE uniform for Portstewart Primary School. This will give time for parents/carers to purchase plain navy tracksuit bottoms (no marks, lines or logos please).
