We saw the amazing local shop box designs and played a team game with the Theatre Company members.

BIG TELLY THEATRE COMPANY Project:Trade Secrets explores the memories and experiences associated with Coleraine Town Centre, Portrush Main Street and Portstewart Promenade. These memories/experiences were being used to create 30 miniature models/installations which formed an exhibition for schools, a unique trail for visitors/residents, an outreach programme for older people, a collection of memory story cards and a digital archive.

Coleraine - Dixons, Moores, Whoosh, S & T Moore, Hope & Gloria, Romaya, The Forum, Waterstone's, Smyth’s Country Sports, Bob & Berts, Community Rescue Service Charity Shop, McAtamney's, Heart & Home.

Portrush - The White House, Portrush Atlantic Hotel, The Souvenir Shop, Bob & Berts, KOKO, Arcadia.

Portstewart - Morelli's, Roughans, Warke’s Deli, PortstewART Galleries, Sheila's, McLaughlin’s Bakery, Shenanigans, Flowerfield Arts Centre, Bob & Berts, The BOX (Big Telly’s space on Portstewart Prom), Portstewart Library.

Six artists who interpretered the stories collected to make a miniature model/installation for each shop. 

Eimear Friers specialises in Fine Art Painting and Printmaking.

Avril McCabe is a community artist/facilitator specialising in Ceramics, Textiles, Fine Art and Mixed Media. She is also a qualified teacher.

Gail Mahon is an installation artist and ceramic sculptor.

Laura Nelson is a a community Artist/facilitator and specialises in 3D builds and prop making for theatre, carnival and festivals.

Elaine Taylor is a sculptor based in Belfast who creates hand crafted original artwork.

David Turner is a Belfast based artist who recreates memories with childhood mediums such as LEGO, Hama Beads and plasticine.

All 30 models were exhibited in an interactive exhibition from 12th—31st July in The BOX (Big Telly’s space on Portstewart Prom).
