P4/5 had a brilliant morning today at Tullaghmurry Fold meeting the residents for their workshop with Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful. Today we were learning about birds and the role they play in our gardens. We made bird feeders using apple slices and sunflower seeds which the children took outside and placed around the fold for the residents to enjoy bird watching. We also have our own bird feeders which we will be placing around the school grounds. The behaviour of the children was exemplary and they have made some new friends with the residents of the fold (we were very spoilt with crisps and juice!) We are looking forward to our next visit!
